PC Gaming Show: 25 Most-Anticipated Games Full Recap

During the PC Gaming Show that took place earlier today, over 25 different hotly anticipated games were discussed. Below are details on all of them.

PC Gamer held the event on November 30, 2023, revealing many titles they are looking forward to. As this year of gaming inches closer to its end, an array of new titles is on the way. Below, we have a list of the much-anticipated games.

25. Still Wakes The Deep

Still Wakes The Deep is a horror game set on a creepy isolated oil rig with unspeakable terrors lurking nearby. Jason Graves is responsible for the game’s musical score. Fans may know him from his other great soundtracks, including fellow horror titles like Dead Space and The Dark Pictures series. Graves has plenty of work with gaming music and looks to continue the trend in Still Wakes The Deep.

24. Sword of the Sea

Sword of the Sea is the newest entry by developer Giant Squid. The studio previously worked on popular indie titles such as the ocean exploring Abzu as well as The Pathless. Not many details are known about the game, however, many fans of both indie games and the developer studio look forward to the desert journeying title.

23. Holstin

Holstin is a survival-horror game that transports players to a quiet town in 1990s Poland. However, not everything is as it seems in this sleepy region. Many of the townspeople are possessed by dark forces, and it’s up to you to find out what is going on and, ultimately, to survive. Polish game developer Sonka is developing the game.

22. Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is the remake of the beloved Persona 3. Game developer Atlus revealed new details on the upcoming remake of the game, including the reveal of the spear-toting character Ken Amada.

21. Harold Halibut

Harold Halibut is a stop-motion graphics game that takes place on a massive, populated ship journeying underwater. The twist is that the ship is on an alien planet, with the protagonist Harold, trying to find his place in the world he knows. Developer Slow Bros revealed the release window through a new trailer for the game today at the PC Gaming Show.

20. Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft’s Star Wars entry, Star Wars Outlaws, sees players take on the role of Kay Vess as she and her companion plan a massive heist to be free of trouble and the Galatic Empire. The journey will take them across the Outer Rim planets to earn a living. The story takes place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It was previously meant to be released this year, but has been delayed until next year.

19. Skate Story

Skate Story is a new title by Indie Developer Sam Eng. The game stars a demon comprised of both “glass and pain” who must make use of their boarding skills to traverse the underworld and both destroy demons as well as save souls along the way.

18. Menace

Menace is a turn-based RPG with a sci-fi setting. Players can participate in battles featuring many different units, such as foot soldiers, tanks, mechs, and much more. The game will feature procedurally generated missions, giving the title tons of replayability for players upon its arrival.

17. Avowed

Avowed is the much-anticipated game being developed by Obsidian Entertainment. The developers formerly worked on Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds. Obsidian are returning to their fantasy roots with this one, and many are excited to get their hands on it.

16. Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is Capcom’s next entry into the cult classic fantasy RPG series, and it finally has a release date. The game sees the protagonist caught up in a battle between two rival factions vying for control of the kingdom. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the first game by Capcom to be given a price increase.

15. Frostpunk 2

Frostpunk 2 is the sequel city-builder simulator developed by 11 Bit Studios. A new trailer was showcased during the PC Gaming Show, presenting just how much larger a city can be created within the game. After some delays, the game is expected to be launching next year.

14. Gloomwood

Gloomwood is a first-person stealth horror game that sees players step into the role of a doctor who is abducted and trapped in a Victorian city. The game pays hommage to the horror games of the 90s and 2000s. Gloomwood is currently in Early Access but the full release is likely to occur in 2024. A new update for the game was shown today during the event.

13. Grand Theft Auto 6

Grand Theft Auto 6 is the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series by Rockstar Games. It is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated entertainment products in history. While there have been many rumors about what players can expect from the game, the official reveal trailer for GTA 6 is out now.

12. Tekken 8

Tekken 8 looks to continue the beloved fighting experience onto next-generation platforms when it launches in the new year. The game features a varying roster of both veterans to the series and newcomers alike and looks to rival its peers such as Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1.

11. Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong is the sequel to the popular Metroidvania, expected to be released in the new year. Players take on their quest as a warrior princess that is captured and must battle through a whole new land to protect their home.

10. Marathon

Marathon is a PvP extraction shooter similar to Escape from Tarkov. Not much information has been shared on the game as the studio is currently focusing on development for both Marathon and further content for Destiny 2.

9. Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 is a free-to-play RPG by Grinding Gear Games featuring many classes and builds for players to experiment with. New gameplay footage was shown today during the PC Gaming Show.

8. Homeworld 3

Homeworld 3 is the next iteration in the sci-fi real-time strategy series from Blackbird Interactive. Its release date was given during an interview on the PC Gaming Show. Players take control of fleets in space as they fight through different battlefields in space combat.

7. Haunted Chocolatier

Haunted Chocolatier is a simulator game being developed by Eric Barone, the creative mind behind Stardew Valley. While no major details have been shared on the game, it is known that it will follow players as they run a confectionary store, similar to running a farm in Stardew Valley.

6. Pacific Drive

Pacific Drive is a roguelike experience being developed by Ironwood Studios. The game looks to provide a fresh take by emphasizing the runs being around scavenging for parts to upgrade the station wagon you drive around in. Players must use the tools at their disposal to find a way to escape the Pacific Northwest, which supernatural forces have invaded. A release date for the game was revealed along with a trailer during the PC Gaming Show event.

5. Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2, the much-anticipated co-op FPS sequel, is shifting from a bird’s eye to a third-person perspective. Arrowhead Game Studios is releasing the game in the new year, and many are excited to experience the alien co-op shooter.

4. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the continuation of the Yakuza series. Sega unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming game, showcasing the English dub voices with performances by Hollywood talent such as Daniel Dae Kim and Danny Trejo. The game is the newest entry in the long-running Yakuza franchise by Japanese developer Ryu Ga Gotoku.

3. Hades 2

Hades 2 is the sequel to Supergiant Games’ Hades, a roguelike that took the world by storm when it was released. The developer previously worked on Bastion and looks to have the game hit Early Access sometime next year on the Epic Games Store and Steam.

2. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Elden Ring was last year’s Game of the Year. The newest souls-borne game from FromSoftware was praised by many, and players were curious if it would be receiving any expansion or DLC. In February of 2023, an official announcement for a DLC called Shadow of the Erdtree was revealed on the Elden Ring X account.

1. Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl

Stalker 2 is a sequel to the original horror shooter that has players explore the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl Power Plant and the area surrounding it. Players explore the massive map and must fight against both humans and monsters alike while uncovering the mysteries of the site.
