Nintendo fans around the world eagerly tuned in to the latest Nintendo Direct video presentation, where the company showcased a wide range of new games coming to the Nintendo Switch console.
The presentation was filled with surprises and announcements, including new entries in the beloved Super Mario Bros. series, exciting updates on popular titles, and intriguing offerings from Nintendo’s partners.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder
The highly anticipated — and heavily rumoured — Super Mario Bros. Wonder takes the classic 2D side-scrolling Mario experience to new heights.
Touching a Wonder Flower in the game unlocks a world of surprises, with pipes coming alive, enemies swarming the screen, and characters undergoing transformations. Players can look forward to controlling Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, and Yoshi in this exciting adventure.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder will launch on October 20th, and pre-orders are now available on the Nintendo eShop.
Super Mario RPG (Remake)
Originally only released in Japan and North America on Super NES, Super Mario RPG is back, overhauled with new graphics.
The game will release on November 17, 2023.
Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon (Remake)
Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon is being remade for the Nintendo Switch. The game was originally released on Nintendo 3DS.

Unannounced Princess Peach Game
Princess Peach is getting her own game for the Nintendo Switch.

Pikmin 4
The Nintendo Direct premiered an extended look at Pikmin 4. A new collection minigame was shown off, which allows players to team up and rescue castaways and collect items. Along with this, it was announced that players will get to explore during the night alongside a brand new type of Glow Pikmin. There will also be a demo available.
Pikmin 4 releases on July 21, 2023. A demo will be playable in the Nintendo eShop on June 29, 2023.
Pikmin 1 + 2
Alongside the extended look at Pikmin 4, HD remakes of Pikmin 1 + 2 were announced.
Pikmin 1 + 2 is available now on the Nintendo eShop.
Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet DLC
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet is the first DLC for the games, and it will be a two-part DLC. It will include more Pokemon, places and stories as players dive deeper into the Paldea region
Part 1: The Teal Mask will release in Q3/Q4 2023 and Part 2: The Indigo Disk has a planned release date of Q4 2023. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC is available for purchase now on Nintendo eShop.
Detective Pikachu Returns
The tough-talking, coffee-loving Pikachu we all know and love is back in Detective Pikachu Returns.
With the help of many other Pokemon, Tim Goodman (voiced by Will Arnott) and his talkative Pikachu partner work together to solve a series of mysterious incidents in this cinematic adventure game.
Detective Pikachu Returns launches for Nintendo Switch on October 6, 2023. Pre-orders begin later today on Nintendo eShop.
WarioWare: Move It!
WarioWare: Move It! is the latest game in the WarioWare series. Now, you’ll hold a set of Joy-Cons, and move your body to take on a flurry of lightning-fast microgames. Local play is available for up to 4 players, and there will be over 200 minigames.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Amiibo
New amiibo of Zelda and Ganondorf for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is coming in Q3 2023.
This will allow players to unlock valuable in-game items and special fabric for the paraglider.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pack Wave 5
Booster Course Wave 5 includes a brand-new course in Squeaky Clean Split, and 3 new characters in Petey Piranha, Wiggler and Kamek.
It will be released shortly on Nintendo Switch.
Splatoon 3
The next Splatfest for Splatoon 3 has been confirmed and will be held from July 15 at 10:00am AEST / 12:00 pm NZST until 17th July at 10:00 am AEST / 12:00 pm NZST.
Australia & New Zealand Tournaments
Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe championships are coming to Australia and New Zealand later this year. There will be more information shared about this at a later date.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy
Batman: Arkham Trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch in one complete package, including all DLC.
The trilogy package will come exclusively to the Nintendo Switch in Q4, 2023.
Palia
Palia is a breathtaking free-to-play MMO adventure sim that allows you to build the life and home of your dreams. You will unravel mysteries, customise your character, gather materials and, of course, craft the perfect home.
Palia launches on Nintendo Switch this summer.
Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope DLC
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: The Last Spark Hunter is the first DLC, where Mario and friends journey to a musical planet, with new areas to explore and enemies to battle.
The Last Spark Hunter DLC is out is out now. A demo of the main game is also available now on Nintendo eShop.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince follows Psaro, a cursed prince, and his companion Rose as they travel through the demon realm of Nadiria.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is a new collection coming to Nintendo Switch. This collection features Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Additionally, it will include Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and the NES versions of Metal Gear and Snake’s Revenge.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 will launch on October 24, 2023.
Sonic Superstars
Sonic Superstars is the latest Sonic the Hedgehog game and brings back the classic 2D side-scrolling platforming that we know and love. You can play through the entire campaign with friends in local co-op.

Just Dance 2024 Edition
Just Dance 2024 Edition is back with the latest annual release, offering 40 songs, local and online multiplayer and constant updates that feature content.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will include one-month free access to the Just Dance+ streaming service. Just Dance 2024 Edition launches on October 24, 2023.
Mythforce
Mythforce is a first-person melee roguelike with a cartoony feel. The whole game can be played in online co-op with friends.
MythForce launches on Nintendo Switch later this year.
Penny’s Big Breakaway
Penny’s Big Breakaway is a 3D platforming adventure from the team behind Sonic Mania. Players will explore a vibrant world and defeat the evil Emperor Eddie in story mode. There will also be a Time Attack Mode as well.
Penny’s Big Breakaway launches on Nintendo Switch in Q1 2024.
Fae Farm
Fae Farm is a cosy, farm-sim RPG where you can craft, cultivate and decorate to grow your shared homestead and explore the magical island of Azoria, alongside friends in local or online multiplayer.

Star Ocean The Second Story R
Star Ocean The Second Story R s a full remake of the 1998 science-fantasy RPG, rebuilt from the ground up with new graphics that combine 3D environments and 2D pixel characters.

Persona 5 Tactica
Persona 5 Tactica is the tactical spinoff of Persona 5, and it is confirmed to be coming to Nintendo Switch; unlike the newly released Persona 3 Reload.

Vampire Survivors shocked everyone when it beat out blockbusters games, God of War: Ragnorok and Elden Ring, to win Best Game at the 2023 BAFTA Awards. Now, the game is coming to Nintendo Switch with couch co-op.

Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is back with over 130 vehicles, splitscreen co-op and online multiplayer.
