EVE at a platforming challenge in Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade: How to Unlock Double Jump

Stellar Blade has a few hidden locations that require you to Double Jump to reach them. However, you don’t have access to a Double Jump immediately, so when do you unlock it?

Stellar Blade’s exploration is relatively well-paced. It starts you off in a linear location with limited platforming before letting you run wild in an open desert. Of course, outside of a few instances, you won’t need a Double Jump early on. However, some players may understandably want to unlock it as soon as possible. Fortunately, it won’t take long until you have EVE Double Jumping everywhere.

How to Unlock Double Jump in Stellar Blade

You will unlock the Double Jump skill automatically in Stellar Blade after reaching the fifth main mission, Light of Hope, and talking to Lily next to the Tetrapod. After completing the Altess Levoire dungeon, you’ll head back to Xion and give Orcal the second Hyper Cell. Once you’ve done that, you need to leave and head to Adam and Lily next to the Tetrapod. If you speak to Lily before heading to Matrix 11, she’ll unlock the Double Jump skill for you for free.

It won’t take you too long to reach this point, depending on how long you spend exploring the Wasteland before you reach the Altess Levoire. However, there aren’t many instances where you’ll need the double jump before heading to Matrix 11. It’s an ability that’s reserved for the Matrix 11 region and beyond, outside of a handful of locations in the Wasteland that are locked off without it. Fortunately, if you avoid doing most side content until you get the skill, you’ll probably reach the Light of Hope mission after 5 or so hours.

Of course, it’s important to remember that you do have a dash ability that can be combined with your jump to reach far-away locations. To jump and dash, simply press X and then O. However, this won’t get you as far as a double jump. So, if you find you can’t make a jump, especially in the Wasteland, it likely means you will need to wait until you unlock the Double Jump ability from Lily. That’s everything you need to know about getting the Double Jump ability in Stellar Blade. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
