What is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater?

Snake Eater is a revered remake of the timeless MGS 3 game, originally developed by Konami in 2004. It received critical acclaim and featured the iconic voice of David Hayter as the protagonist, Naked Snake – a character he portrayed in MGS1 to MGS4. Guns of the Patriots and The Phantom Pain followed MGS3, in 2008 and 2015, respectively.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is a game that captures the Cold War era. Naked Snake must infiltrate the Soviet Union and take down his mentor, who is possibly to have defected. Fans of the game love it for its engaging story and iconic soundtrack, which includes the title theme “Snake Eater.” Even more, it also boasts innovative boss battles with unique methods of defeating them, which continue to impress players even today.

Rumors have been circulating for a while now about the development of a certain title. Today’s showcase has confirmed those rumors, as a trailer for the remake was revealed. The trailer features a bird, snake, and alligator fighting in a jungle setting, with the camera gradually zooming in. Finally, the protagonist, Naked Snake, makes his appearance, emerging from the water as the iconic theme song starts to play. However, this wasn’t the only Metal Gear Solid announcement.

What is the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1?

In addition to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a new collection of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and the original version of 3 was announced, titled MGS: Master Collection Vol.1. The titles are likely to be the same remasters from 2011’s HD Collection.

Konami revealed that there will be more information in the months to come up to its release. It will likely be available on both last-gen and current-gen platforms, but more information from Konami will follow.
