You may have seen that you can unlock a gun for Kril in Another Crab’s Treasure. It is absolutely real, ridiculously hilarious, and unsurprisingly overpowered.
One of the most bizarre aspects of the already fairly quirky Another Crab’s Treasure is the ability to use a gun. That’s right; you can attach a gun to Kril’s back and use it to kill enemies. Of course, without going into the logic of using a gun underwater, it’s a novel feature that players will understandably want to try out at least once. Fortunately, below, we explain exactly how to unlock the gun.
How to Get the Gun in Another Crab’s Treasure
To get a gun in Another Crab’s Treasure, you need to open the Settings menu and select the Assist Mode tab. Scroll down until you see the option called “Give Kril A Gun”. Toggle this on and then back out of the menu. You’ll have unlocked the gun Shell, which you will be able to use to decimate enemies.
It’s a fairly easy process, but not one that should be taken lightly. There’s a reason the gun is in the Assist Mode tab. This will make the game extremely easy, and while it’s definitely fun to use for a laugh, we don’t recommend using it for the entire playthrough. That is, of course, unless you’re eager to make the relatively lengthy adventure significantly shorter.
What Does the Gun Do in Another Crab’s Treasure?
The gun is a Shell in Another Crab’s Treasure. As such, it will appear on Kril’s back as you run around and explore. Players can use the gun’s ability by locking onto an enemy and then pressing X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or Y on Switch. That enemy, regardless of whether they’re a boss or how much health they have, will be instantly killed.
Yep. The gun in Another Crab’s Treasure insta-kills any enemy it shoots. It also has unlimited ammo, meaning you can use it for the entire game and on literally every enemy. That’s certainly one way to farm Microplastics. So, if there’s a particular boss that’s giving you grief or an area you’re struggling to get through, just equip the gun in the Assist Mode menu and blast them away.
