Hoyaverse has released some incredible games over the years and their latest game, Zenless Zone Zero, looks set to become another blockbuster.
Gamescom Opening Night Live hosted a new gameplay trailer for Zenless Zone Zero, so we now have an idea of what we can expect from the upcoming title.
What is Zenless Zone Zero?
Zenless Zone Zero is an Action RPG game in development by HoYoverse, the same team that created Genshin Impact. The supernatural disaster known as the “Hollows” has heavily affected the post-apocalyptic world where the game takes place. Because of this catastrophe, mysterious creatures called “Ethereals” roam freely. The game’s action takes place in New Eridu, a city that survived the apocalypse and serves as the last refuge for humanity.
Players assume the role of a “Proxy,” a special type of professional trained to guide people in exploring the dangerous regions known as Hollows. As a Proxy, you’re responsible for collecting valuable resources and data from these Hollows to help sustain New Eridu and solve the mystery behind the apocalyptic disaster. The game offers a variety of characters, each with their own unique skills and abilities, which players use to fight the Ethereals and navigate the complex world.
Zenless Zone Zero Gameplay
Zenless Zone Zero features roguelike elements and mechanics. Currently, there are 12 different characters available, each with fluid and distinct movements.
As with other Hoyaverse games, the game will feature Gacha elements, but, judging the demos at Gamescom, there is no confirmation on how this will be implemented. You can check out the gameplay premiere trailer below.
