Fortune’s Keep is returning to Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 2 and will introduce Wonder Weapons into the battle royale for the first time.
Wonder Weapons have always been a fan-favorite feature in the Call of Duty Zombies mode, and with many Zombies features coming to Warzone in Season 2, it seems intriguing that these weapons will also make their debut. The latest announcement on the Call of Duty blog has hinted that multiple Wonder Weapons are coming to Warzone, and we have some information on what you can expect when you first drop in.
How Do Wonder Weapons Work in Call of Duty: Warzone?
Wonder Weapons in Warzone will work differently than their counterparts in Zombies, particularly in terms of their durability. The weapons will have limited ammunition support and no restock options.
While we don’t know the exact situation on how to obtain these weapons, one of the options is the new Rogue Signal competitive Public Event. This new event will task you and other players with a varying 90-second objective-based mission, such as ‘Get the most kills,’ ‘Deal the most damage to players,’ or ‘Open the most caches.’ The top three teams will be rewarded with a cash price and the location of a special Reward Cache. The first team to open this cache will earn a randomized reward, which could result in a Wonder Weapon from MWZ.
Will Wonder Weapons Be Available in All Warzone Maps?
According to the Call of Duty Blog, it seems Wonder Weapons will only be available in the Fortune’s Keep Warzone map. This means they won’t be coming to other maps, like Ashika Island, Vondel, or Urzikstan.
Currently, there is no information available on what Wonder Weapons will come to the battle royale mode. However, we can confirm that the Wunderwaffe DG-2 will be in Warzone due to the image appearing in the announcement by Call of Duty. Hopefully, we can see the iconic Ray Gun make an appearance as well.
