Unicorn Overlord: Is There DLC?

Unicorn Overlord already offers such an expansive experience, but players want more in the form of DLC. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’s coming any time soon.

If you’ve already wrapped up Unicorn Overlord’s lengthy story, then you’re likely pining for more. After all, its blend of engaging narrative and tactical RPG gameplay has enraptured fans worldwide. Unfortunately, while everyone seemingly wants the party to continue, it doesn’t look like Vanillaware, the developer, has any such plans. If you were hoping for DLC, you are likely to be disappointed.

Is Unicorn Overlord Getting DLC?

No, Unicorn Overlord won’t be getting DLC, at least immediately post-launch. Vanillaware has not confirmed or announced any future DLC for Unicorn Overlord. Typically, Vanillaware games have not received any form of DLC outside of minor additions, such as a Narrator Pack. There have been exceptions, such as Muramasa Rebirth, but it isn’t particularly common. Their last two games, Dragon’s Crown Pro and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, did not receive any major DLC.

Of course, it is possible that Unicorn Overlord may get DLC down the line. Considering its enormous roster, it’s likely that additional characters and stories could be added. Alternatively, a New Game Plus mode could be added, or even just extra difficulties or battles. However, so far, no updates or patches containing those features have been announced.

It’s worth noting that the Collector’s Edition of Unicorn Overlord does come with a DLC voucher. However, this is not for DLC; instead, it is simply a code that allows the player to redeem exclusive emblems based on Atlus and Vanillaware games. If any DLC is announced for the game, we’ll be sure to update this article. Until then, make sure to check out our Guide hub for more articles just like this one.
