Players waiting for Star Wars Outlaws to release may be happy to hear that, according to a new leak, it may be arriving sooner than you think.
The Australian Classifications system for games and media recently leaked the rating for the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws game. It has been rated M for mature audiences in Australia (which is the equivalent to the “T” Teen ESRB Rating). Typically, when a game is rated, it means that it will be released shortly thereafter. This is undoubtedly exciting for players who have been waiting since its announcement at the Xbox 2023 Showcase event.
When Is Star Wars Outlaws Release Date?
Star Wars Outlaws will likely be released on Friday, July 5, 2024. At the very least, it will be released between June 2024 and July 2024. While this hasn’t been officially confirmed, typically, games release around 100 days after being rated. A post from JorRaptor on X revealed that Ubisoft’s game, Assassins Creed Mirage, received its rating on July 17 and launched on October 5 (80 days later). Star Wars Jedi Survivor got its ratings on January 9 and was released on April 28 (109 days later).
Additionally, in its 3rd quarter sales report, Ubisoft announced that it will announce games for the FY2024-2025 lineup before May. This includes Star Wars Outlaws. So, you can expect to get some confirmation on the game’s release date soon.
What Is Star Wars Outlaws?
Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world Star Wars adventure set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. You play as Kay Vess, a newcomer looking to escape her past and begin a new life with her companion, Nix. Together, you explore different planets, each with its own unique cities, landscapes, and adventures, while flying your ship called the Trailblazer.
Your main goal is to navigate through the galaxy’s underworld, engaging in fights, stealing, and outsmarting crime syndicates to become one of the most wanted outlaws. You’ll have to make tough choices that affect your reputation and face the consequences of those decisions.
