Star Wars Outlaws Players Can’t Play Jabba the Hutt Mission Without Season Pass

Players wanting to experience the Jabba the Hutt mission in Star Wars Outlaws will, unfortunately, need the Season Pass.

Star Wars Outlaws is an upcoming Ubisoft title, which recently revealed its release date of August 30, 2024. Although the news of a release date should have been met with positivity, it wasn’t. Instead, it was overshadowed by the announcement of how much the various editions cost, and fans were not happy. The negativity has only continued with details that a mission involving the iconic Jabba the Hutt is exclusive to the Season Pass of Star Wars Outlaws.

Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass Has Exclusive Jabba the Hutt Mission

Players have been shocked that the Jabba the Hutt mission called Jabba’s Gambit in Star Wars Outlaws is only available to those who own the Season Pass. The news comes directly from the official website of Star Wars Outlaws, specifically its Season Pass section. Furthermore, pre-ordering the game only offers a couple of cosmetics for your speeder and the Trailblazer, the ship you use to go to other planets. The game features the iconic Hutt Crime Family, yet those who don’t own the Season Pass can’t participate in the additional mission concerning them.

The Season Pass is also only available in the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Star Wars Outlaws. Players must fork out at least US$109.99 / £104.99 / AU$169.95 to get the game with the Season Pass, as that’s the Gold Edition cost. Only then will you gain access to the Jabba’s Gambit. Players are already upset about the price of the editions, and this news will only likely push many further away from its appeal.

Star Wars Outlaws Jabba Mission Details

The Season Pass exclusive mission Jabba’s Gambit features Kay Vess, the protagonist, who needs to collect a debt for Jabba from the character ND-5. It sounds like a great addition to the game and one that will only showcase the Scoundrel world of Star Wars, which is absent from many games. Although the Hutt Crime family is to be featured throughout the story, not having this mission tied to the main game story is an odd decision and one that is catching a lot of flak. What makes it sting more is that Jabba the Hutt is featured in the game and is a prominent figure in the Star Wars universe.

There is the possibility that the mission could just be a Season Pass timed exclusive at launch. However, we do not know for sure. As of now, if you wish to complete an extra contract for Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars Outlaws, it seems you will have to pay an additional coin to obtain the Season Pass.
