Rise of the Ronin allows players to alter their appearance even after they’ve finished with the character customizer. However, you’ll have to reach a certain point in the game before you can.

How to Change Your Appearance in Rise of the Ronin
To change your appearance in Rise of the Ronin, you must go to your Longhouse, select the Relax option, and then Appearance. From here, you’ll be able to access the character creator menu from the beginning of the game, allowing you to completely customize not only your hair but also your face, body, and more. You can use this feature as many times as you want and for free. You won’t have to fork over gold in order to tweak your beard.
You will unlock the Longhouse in Chapter 1 during the Main Mission Follow Your Blade Twin. This occurs when you enter the city of Yokohama for the first time and also happens to be when you unlock the ability to change the time of day. It won’t take you long to reach this point, as it is the third part of the first Chapter.
Does Rise of the Ronin Have Transmog?
Yes, Rise of the Ronin does have transmog. This feature allows you to choose exactly what armor you are wearing without losing out on the stats from the armor you actually have equipped. You can use the transmog system by going to your Longhouse, selecting the Relax option, and then Redesign.
You’ll be able to equip any armor you have unlocked already in the transmog menu, and it won’t affect your stats at all.
