Fans of Nintendo around the world eagerly tuned in to the most recent Nintendo Direct presentation. During this event, the company unveiled an impressive collection of upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch console.
The presentation was brimming with unexpected reveals and exciting announcements. These included fresh announcements for the cherished Mario franchise and thrilling updates for many titles coming to the Nintendo Switch. Here is everything that was announced at the Nintendo Direct for September 2023:
Princess Peach: Showtime!
Princess Peach takes the stage to save a theatre from the wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch. She gets new powers, such as transforming into a swordfighter, Kung Fu Peach, and more. This game was announced in the July Nintendo Direct, but now we have a title for it. Princess Peach: Showtime! launches on March 22, 2024.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Mario returns in an updated version of the GameCube classic, seeking the Thousand-Year Door’s legendary treasure. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door launches on Nintendo Switch in 2024.
F-ZERO 99
Race against 98 other players in this high-speed, high-stakes multiplayer game. Available exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members later today.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD

Detective Pikachu Returns
Tim Goodman and Detective Pikachu search for Tim’s missing father and solve mysteries in Ryme City. Detective Pikachu Returns launches on October 6, 2023.
Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass – Side Order
This new single-player campaign lets you climb the Spire of Order to improve your skills. The Splatoon 3 expansion releases in the Autumn of 2024.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Mario goes after Donkey Kong to rescue stolen Mini-Mario toys. The game launches on February 16, 2024.
Another Code: Recollection
Enhanced versions of the DS and Wii games in which Ashley searches for her supposedly dead father on an isolated island. Launches on January 19, 2024.
Super Mario RPG
The Super NES classic returns with new features like the Triple Move, based on your current party. Super Mario RPG launches on November 17, 2023.
WarioWare: Move It!
Wario hosts a collection of motion-based microgames at a tropical resort. WarioWare: Move It! launches on November 3, 2023.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 6

New amiibo Figures
New amiibo figures include characters from The Legend of Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Releases start on November 3, 2023.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft
Relive Lara Croft’s first three adventures with remastered graphics. The game launches on February 15, 2024.

Among Us – Fungle Map

Farm, cook, and enjoy country life in this upcoming DLC for Eastward. The DLC comes out this summer.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Lead a team of heroes to save the continent of Allraan in this JRPG. The game launches on April 23, 2024.
Horizon Chase 2
