Hollow Knight: Silksong, the much-anticipated indie title, could drop at the April 2024 Nintendo Indie World Showcase.
Many are looking forward to the release of the Hollow Knight sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, much time has passed with no indication from the developer, Team Cherry, of when it will be launching, but there are some odd instances that may indicate the game is coming soon. Only a couple of weeks ago, a listing for Hollow Knight: Silksong went live on Xbox. Furthermore, we could see the game dropping with a new Nintendo Indie World Showcase debuting on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Could Drop At Nintendo Showcase
The Nintendo Indie World Showcase presents over 20 minutes of footage of upcoming projects from various indie studios. Additionally, the showcase gives further updates on other previously announced games. Team Cherry, the studio developing Silksong, is considered an indie team, so it falls within the requirements of the April 17 Indie World Showcase.
To add to the speculation, Hollow Knight: Silksong also recently received a PG rating. The game was rated on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, on the Australian Classification website. Usually, when games receive a rating, a release date for the project follows behind it. One such instance is the PS4/PS5 remaster of Red Dead Redemption. The rating was spotted on the South Korean rating board in June 2023, and the release date was officially announced shortly after in August. Therefore, we could see Hollow Knight: Silksong dropping sooner than we think.
