MultiVersus, the popular mascot brawler from Warner Bros, is set to finally return. But when exactly can fans expect it to come back online?
After a brief Early Access period, MultiVersus was taken offline. While fans who had it downloaded could still access the offline content, they could no longer play online. Fortunately, after a somewhat lengthy wait, it appears that the popular brawler is back. Below, we explain exactly when MultiVersus is coming back.
When Is MultiVersus Coming Back?
MultiVersus is coming back on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. It will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This will be almost an entire year since it initially went offline back on June 25, 2023.
MultiVersus is returning a bigger and better game. It has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5, rebuilt to support a new netcode ensuring smoother online play, and will feature new characters and stages. Perhaps most importantly for those who prefer to play mascot brawlers alone, there will be a new PvE mode added that introduces a whole new way to play. There has been a lot of build-up to get to this point. Shortly after announcing its very own promotional campaign with McDonald’s Australia, a post on the game’s official X account that read “*taps mic* testing, testing, 1, 2, 3” went live. This comes after nearly a year of complete silence, with the last post being published on June 22, 2023. Fortunately, players won’t have to wait much longer to dive back into MultiVersus.
