The Jester, also commonly referred to as the Jack in the Box, is a terrifying enemy in Lethal Company that wants nothing more than to pop your head like a weasel. It will first appear as a seemingly harmless box with legs and one arm. However, once it’s done playing its tune, a giant skull will pop out of its box and eat you up. Fortunately, there is an easy way to survive it. So, if you’ve been wondering how to survive the Jester/Jack in the Box in Lethal Company, you’re in luck.

How to Survive the Jester in Lethal Company

To survive the Jester, you must escape the Facility. Once it begins winding up and playing its creepy version of “Pop Goes the Weasel,” you have around 40 seconds to run. If you’re still in the Facility after it’s finished its song, the Jester will chase after you and kill you. You can increase the time it takes to wind up by 20 seconds by stunning it.

Fortunately, the first time you encounter any Jack in the Box, or Jester, in Lethal Company, it will be completely passive. You can run around it and even jump on its closed box as much as you want. However, once it starts winding up its crank and playing music, that’s when you need to run. The Jester will get progressively faster, ensuring it will eventually catch you. It will reset to passive once all players have escaped the facility or you’re all dead.
