Stellar Blade: How to Turn Off Hints

The Hint notification in Stellar Blade is incredibly frustrating, but fortunately, there is a way to turn it off. Here’s how to get rid of it.

The Hint notification has good intentions in Stellar Blade. It pops up whenever you’ve spent too long in an area, as the game thinks you’re struggling, and offers advice on how to complete a puzzle or objective. However, most of the time, we’re just exploring, taking our time, and opening every chest we see to unlock another of the amazing rare outfits. It also comes on way too fast, not giving you enough time to solve a puzzle without it bothering you. If you’re sick of it, you’ve come to the right place.

How to Turn Off Hints in Stellar Blade

You can turn off the “Hint” notification in the settings menu in Stellar Blade. To do this, you need to do the following:

  • Press the Options button
  • Press R1 until you reach the Settings tab.
  • Select Hint
  • Switch it to “Off” or “Long”

Turning it to “Off” will remove the Hint notification entirely, meaning that you can no longer receive hints. Turning it to “Long” will delay the time before it starts, offering you a hint to solve a puzzle. If you still want the Hint notification to appear but want to explore first, then this is probably the best option. However, for those who find it incredibly infuriating, like us, then we highly recommend turning it to “Off.”

Fortunately, you can turn it back on if you want to at any time. Just go back into the Settings tab and switch it to Standard. There weren’t many puzzles we felt needed hints, but everyone is different. If you find any of the puzzles, whether they’re story-based or for a side quest, difficult, then make sure to switch the Hint notification back on. That’s everything you need to know about turning Hints off in Stellar Blade. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
