The Nibelheim sequence in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to Skip Nibelheim Flashback

If you’ve already played through the Nibelheim chapter in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s demo, you can skip it in the full game. However, you’ll still need to play a little bit of it first.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s demo allowed players to experience the entire Nibelheim Flashback sequence from Chapter 1. It’s a relatively lengthy sequence and one that demo players will likely wish to skip when playing the full game. Fortunately, you can skip most of it, but you’ll need to do a few things first. Below, we explain exactly how to skip the Nibelheim flashback.

How to Skip the Chapter 1 Nibelheim Flashback in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To skip the Nibelheim flashback in Chapter 1 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will need to check your saved data by selecting Bonuses in the main menu. Next, progress through the main story until you begin heading up the mountain pass and complete your first battle. Once you’ve finished the battle tutorial, you’ll be given a prompt asking if you want to skip to the village. Select yes to skip the mako reactor sequence.

This means you’ll still need to do a handful of things in Nibelheim, including climbing the water tower, visiting your mother, checking out Tifa’s house, and resting at the hotel, which you’ll have already done in the demo. However, you can skip every cutscene by either pressing the menu button and then skip, or by holding down triangle.

The option to skip the Nibelheim sequence in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Skipping this sequence will cut out about an hour’s worth of gameplay. However, you’ll still need to finish off the flashback sequence when the village is set on fire. So, while you can skip some of the flashback, you won’t be able to skip all of it. That’s everything you need to know about skipping the Nibelheim flashback.
