Emilia Clarke’s Solo Character Will Appear in Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft’s upcoming Star Wars Outlaws will feature Emilia Clarke’s Lady Qi’ra character from the Solo: A Star Wars Story prequel. It could be a hint at where the story is heading.

The recent story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws showed off what main protagonist Kay Vess will be getting up to and all of the various intergalactic crime bosses she’ll be rubbing elbows with when the game drops in August 2024. One of those criminal masterminds is Lady Qi’ra, a prominent player in the galaxy’s seedy underbelly. Fans may recognize the character from Emilia Clarke’s portrayal in the Han Solo feature film that released in 2018. It seems Lady Qi’ra will play a similarly vital role in Star Wars Outlaws.

Star Wars Outlaws Will Feature Emila Clarke’s Lady Qi’ra

According to a feature in Game Informer’s print magazine, Lady Qi’ra will play a prominent role in Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world Star Wars Outlaws title. Fans of Solo: A Star Wars Story and the extended Star Wars universe will recognize Lady Qi’ra as the leader of the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate.

Despite Emilia Clarke’s brilliant portrayal of Lady Qi-ra in Solo, she will unfortunately not reprise her role in Star Wars Outlaws, according to Game Informer’s Brian Shea. We currently don’t know who will be portraying her in the game, but we at least get a sneak peek at her character model via a screenshot from the feature:

When we last saw Lady Qi’ra in Solo (spoilers!), she killed the Crimson Dawn’s previous leader, Dryden Vos, to take his place as the new Crime Lord. Star Wars Outlaws is set years after the events of Solo, meaning that Lady Qi’ra has fully established herself as the powerful and influential leader of the Crimson Dawn. The powerful crime syndicate has grown immeasurably under her leadership.

Fans should expect to see a much older Lady Qi’ra as Outlaws is set somewhere between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Based on the events of the canonical comics, we imagine we will see Lady Qi’ra as a strong leader who has amassed a massive network of assassins and agents at her disposal. Of course, we won’t know more about her role until the game releases on PC and consoles on August 30, 2024. Until then, head over to our Guide Hub for everything else on the game!
