Another Crab’s Treasure: How to Respec Your Stats

Another Crab’s Treasure allows you to respec your stats, skills, and Adaptations if you make a mistake. Fortunately, it’s very easy to do.

If you’ve upgraded the wrong Adaptation, focused on the wrong stat, or unlocked the wrong skill in Another Crab’s Treasure, don’t worry. We’ve all been there. Fortunately, the game makes it relatively easy to undo those mistakes, as you can completely respec your build. However, resetting each aspect of Kril requires a different process, which we explain below.

How to Respec Your Stats in Another Crab’s Treasure

To respec your stats, you’ll need to go to any Moon Snail Shell, select the Level Up option, and then press the recycle symbol next to “Confirm” in the bottom left of the menu. It costs one Shark Egg to respec your stats, which are in limited supply.

After respecing, you will get all of the Microplastics you used to upgrade your stats back. You will only have access to the recycle symbol after you first visit the treasure map. You should only really do this if you’re unhappy with your current build, as you’ll need Shark Eggs to reset the other aspects of your character.

How to Reset Your Skills

To reset your skills in Another Crab’s Treasure, you will need to head to the Ancient Moon Snail in the Moon Snail Cave. From here, you can choose to reset your skills for one Shark Egg. This will give you back all the Umami Crystals you spent on them and allow you to choose different skills to unlock.

The Moon Snail Cave is unlocked relatively early on, after only a few hours, and will be marked on the map. So, if you’re unhappy with your current build, you won’t have to wait long until you can respec your skills in Another Crab’s Treasure.

How to Reset Your Adaptations

To reset your Adaptations in Another Crab’s Treasure, you’ll need to speak with Grovekeeper Topoda in Topoda’s Garden. After paying him one Shark Egg, your Adaptations will be reset to Level 1, and you’ll get back all of the Umami Crystals you spent to upgrade them.

Of course, to get access to him and his services, you’ll need to defeat him in the Expired Grove area. His boss fight is relatively easy and also doesn’t take too long to get to. Much like respecing the other aspects of your character in Another Crab’s Treasure, you’ll need to be absolutely sure you want to go through with it, as it’ll cost you a rare Shark Egg.

How to Get Shark Eggs

You can buy a Shark Egg from the Prawn Shop in New Carcinia for 2000 Microplastics. It’s a one-use item, so you’ll need to buy more if you run out. Alternatively, you can find some Shark Eggs scattered across each area. However, they’re incredibly rare and you’ll need to search for a long time in order to get one.

We’d advise you to save up your Shark Eggs for when you’ve really messed up or made a mistake, as once you run out of Shark Eggs, you won’t be able to respec anymore. That’s everything you need to know about respecing your stats in Another Crab’s Treasure. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
