Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the long-anticipated sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. It’s taking the series in a bold new direction, and fans are understandably excited. So, to get everyone prepared for its upcoming release date, we’ve compiled everything you need to know about it.

Hellblade 2 Release Date

Hellblade 2 will be released on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Ninja Theory confirmed this during the January 18 Xbox Direct. That is exactly 2,478 days, or 6.7 years after the release of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which launched on August 8, 2017. Fans have definitely been waiting a long time, but thankfully, it’s almost here.

Hellblade 2 Platforms & Price

Hellblade 2 will launch exclusively on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC. Despite the original game launching on PS4, it will skip PlayStation 5.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will cost US$49.99/£49.99/AU$69.95 on all platforms, making it a slightly lower-priced triple-A game. It is available for pre-order on both PC and Xbox.

What Is Hellblade 2’s Story About?

Hellblade 2 sees Senua head to Iceland to finally put an end to the Viking marauders terrorizing the country. While she’s there, she’ll encounter all kinds of surreal and mythological visions, including terrifying giants. She’ll also meet new allies who will help her in her conquest.

Most importantly, Senua has now come to terms with her psychosis that was so debilitating in the first game. She no longer sees it as a threat but as something that can help her. She utilizes it and her newfound perspective on life and the world to her advantage.
