Fans have been hotly anticipating the release of Season 2 of The Finals for quite some time. Fortunately, it has now been officially announced, including exactly when it will be released. The Finals Season 2 Release Date & Trailer
The Finals Season 2 is releasing on Thursday, March 14, 2024, for all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be completely free for everyone. You can check out the announcement trailer for the Season below.
All New Maps in The Finals Season 2
There is one new map coming to The Finals Season 2 called SYS$HORIZON. It is a neon-soaked voxelized city map filled with random floating geometry that’s glitching out. According to the in-game lore, this map exists within the loading realm of the game show itself and has been found by the new hacker team known as CNS.
All New Gadgets in The Finals Season 2
There are four new gadgets coming in The Finals Season 2, with at least one being added for each class. These are the Dematerializer for the Medium class, the Data Reshaper for the Medium class, the Anti-Gravity Cube for the Heavy class, and the Gateway for the Light class. We’ve broken down what each new gadget does below:
- The Dematerializer (Mediums)
- This temporarily removes any physical surface, including walls, ceilings, or goo. Players can then see, shoot, and move through these spaces until they’re closed back up.
- The Data Reshaper (Mediums)
- This completely changes any enemy fortifications, such as mines or turrets, into a completely random object. For example, you could turn a turret into a chair.
- The Anti-Gravity Cube (Heavys)
- This is a deployable gadget that shifts gravity, sending any player and object caught in its area of effect flying upwards.
- The Gateway (Lights)
- This is a pair of deployable portals that connect together. When both are activated, players and objects can move between them, although they cannot see or shoot through them.
All New Modes in The Finals Season 2
There is a brand new 5v5 mode coming to The Finals Season 2 called Power Shift. Additionally, players can expect a number of limited-time modes throughout the Season. The Power Shift mode involves all teams attempting to push a moving platform through the map and reach their end goal. The platform can destroy anything in its way, making for some explosive Payload-esque action.
