On August 26 and 27, Pokemon GO Fest 2023 is back promising a global gathering of fans and potential mythical surprises.
While Pokemon GO Fest includes live events in London, Osaka and New York – The rest of the world doesn’t get to miss out. The highly anticipated Pokemon GO Fest 2023: Global event is on the horizon, inviting trainers worldwide to participate for free and encounter over 70 Pokemon, including potentially debutant Shiny Pokemon.
Pokemon Go Fest: Global Features
All players can enjoy special Pokemon appearing in unique habitats rotating hourly on Saturday. These include Quartz Terrarium, Pyrite Sands, Malachite Wilderness, and Aquamarine Shores habitats, with Pokemon like Pikachu, Clefairy, Lickitung, Heracross, and more. You might even encounter a Shiny one! Various themed Pikachu will also appear in raids, and you can upgrade your experience with a paid ticket for more exclusives.
On Sunday, Mega Rayquaza makes its global debut, and all trainers can find Meteorites, a new item related to Mega Rayquaza, through Special Research. All Pokemon from the first day will appear during the second day’s event hours, with no rotating habitats. Pikachu and Goomy will appear in raids, and, as always, you may encounter a Shiny version.
All trainers can also enjoy various bonuses during the event, including longer-lasting Lure Modules, doubled friendship bonus damage in raids, themed Field Research, an increased Remote Raid Pass limit, and special snapshots. There will be special attacks for evolved Pokemon like Butterfree, Sandslash, Clefable, Flygon, Salamence, Metagross, Roserade, and Lickilicky.
New avatar items will be available in the in-game shop starting August 4, 2023, including a GO Fest 2023 Tee, Diancie Headphones, and Mega Rayquaza Set. Lastly, Pokemon GO Fest 2023-themed stickers will be available in the in-game shop, at PokeStops, and in Gifts on specific dates in August.
Pokemon Go Fest: Global: How to Buy A Ticket
For US$14.99, trainers can purchase a Global Event Ticket for the Pokemon GO Fest, which takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on August 26th to August 27th.
In the in-game shop, tap the Pokemon GO Fest 2023 image and click the Buy button to purchase the ticket. Once you buy the ticket, a pop-up will confirm your purchase and you can find your ticket in your Item Bag. You will receive a special medal a few days before the event. To participate in the Fest’s experiences, make sure to log in during the event hours on both days. To claim the Special Research story for each day, you must log in during the event hours but can complete it at any time thereafter.
Pokemon Go Fest: Global – Ticket Holder Exclusive Details
Upgrading to a paid ticket for Pokemon GO Fest 2023: Global grants you access to exclusive content, rewards, and bonuses. On Saturday, ticket holders can complete Special Research about the Mythical Pokemon Diancie and encounter it. On Sunday, the focus turns to Mega Rayquaza and newly discovered Meteorites in extended Special Research. Mega Diancie also makes its debut, with ticket holders learning more about its hidden power and collecting Diancie Mega Energy from Carbink raids.
During each habitat hour on Saturday, ticket holders around the world can work together on a challenge to unlock a special bonus. Various Pokemon, including the globally debuting Shiny Unown M, will be attracted to incense during the event.
Ticket holders will also enjoy exclusive bonuses like an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon, up to six Special Trades per day, levelling up the Elite Collector medal, up to 9 free Raid Passes, special 7 km Eggs, and new avatar items including a Diancie T-shirt and Treasure Map Pose.
