No Rest for the Wicked: How Do Classes Work?

No Rest for the Wicked does have a character creator, but will you get to pick a class, or are you locked to a certain playstyle? Here’s what you need to know.

No Rest for the Wicked is an RPG that sees you level up your various stats. It also has a huge focus on animation-driven combat, with a vast variety of weapons for the player to use. However, one thing at the top of players’ minds is class variety. Will players get to pick a class, and if so, what classes are there? Below, we explain how classes work in No Rest for the Wicked.

How Do Classes Work in No Rest for the Wicked?

There are no traditional classes in No Rest for the Wicked. So, you won’t be picking whether to be a Rogue or Warrior at the beginning. Instead, your class is entirely based on the weapon you choose to use. This is being referred to as a “soft class system.” The focus is more on how you want to play, as opposed to being locked into a specific playstyle.

Additionally, when you level up, you’ll earn stat points, which you can then put into the following categories: Health, Intelligence, Dexterity, Strength, and Stamina. This allows you to build around the type of weapon you enjoy using, with the Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence stats improving the power of certain weapon types.

So, if you enjoy fighting with a specific type of sword as you like its speed, strength, or even just the animation, you can focus on improving your build around using that. This way, you dictate your class as opposed to the game, forcing you to focus on just one aspect of combat. This level of flexibility will ultimately ensure you won’t get bored with the combat. That’s everything you need to know about classes in No Rest for the Wicked. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
