Player with the Dramatic Mask on in Lethal Company

Lethal Company Dramatic Masks: How to Get Them & What Do They Do

Dramatic Masks are a new type of creepy item in Lethal Company that should never be worn. Here’s what happens if you wear it.

Lethal Company’s 45 update has dropped, introducing a new item called the Dramatic Masks. These creepy theatre masks have had players curious, as nothing is ever as it seems in the game. Fortunately, for those wondering just what happens if you decide to put the Masks on, we’ve got you covered. Below, we explain how to find the Dramatic Masks and what happens if you do.

How to Get the Dramatic Masks in Lethal Company

There are 2 types of Dramatic Masks in Lethal Company: the Comedy Mask and the Tragedy Mask. Both of these can be found randomly in a facility and do not have a specific spawn point. There is no guarantee you’ll get either Mask; however, as they both ostensibly do the same thing, it shouldn’t matter. However, considering the negative effects the Masks have on the player, they may not be worth finding in the first place.

What Do the Dramatic Masks Do in Lethal Company?

The Dramatic Masks in Lethal Company possess the player when used, killing them and turning them into a monster. The player can use a Dramatic Mask by holding left-click, and, depending on which Mask they have, they’ll be possessed after a short amount of time. It takes 10 seconds for the player to be possessed by the Comedy Mask (the smiling one) and 2 seconds to be possessed by the Tragedy Mask (the sad one). Once you’ve been possessed, you’ll be kicked into spectating mode, and your body will roam around as a Mimic-like monster that hunts down the other players.

Much like SCP-035 from SCP: Containment Breach, players possessed by the Dramatic Mask will turn evil. They can open doors, leave the Facility, return to the ship, and even possess other players. If it successfully kills you, it will turn you into a masked monster. The main tells that you’re looking at a masked monster and not another player is that its jumpsuit will always be orange and that the Mask is permanently fixed to its face.

That’s everything you need to know about the Dramatic Masks. For more guides like this one, be sure to check out our Games Hub.
