The Loud Horn is a mysterious ship upgrade that has players perplexed in Lethal Company. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Lethal Company features a number of useful tools and ship upgrades that you can purchase to make surviving the terrifying monsters a little easier. However, it doesn’t always do the best job of explaining what these tools and upgrades do. Fortunately, that’s where we come in. If you’ve been wondering what the Loud Horn ship upgrade does, wonder no more. Below, we explain how to purchase it, what it does, and how to use it.
The Loud Horn can be purchased from the Terminal for 150 credits in Lethal Company. Players simply need to access the Terminal, search for the Store, and then find the Loud Horn from the list of options. You cannot find the Loud Horn by any other means, and it does not spawn as an item in any of the Facilities. Additionally, once you’ve bought the Loud Horn, it will be equipped to your ship automatically and not put in your inventory.
It’s important to note that the Loud Horn is different from the Air Horn, which is a usable item. The Air Horn cannot be purchased; instead, it must be found in one of the facilities. Its location is completely random, so you’ll need to explore to find it.
What Is the Loud Horn & How to Use it in Lethal Company
The Loud Horn is a ship upgrade that emits a loud droning sound that can heard from anywhere on the map. It is used to attract the attention of other players or help those attempting to return back to the ship locate it. To use the Loud Horn, simply go up to the cord that spawns next to the Terminal and press E to pull it. Once you do, you’ll hear the trumpet-like sound come from the ship.
Of course, the Loud Horn has a few drawbacks. While it is useful for communicating with your fellow teammates when a walkie-talkie won’t do, it does attract the attention of nearby monsters. Any monster in close proximity to your ship will start heading towards it, potentially intercepting returning teammates. Frankly, this makes it a rather redundant feature, especially for the cost. It isn’t really worth purchasing unless you want to use it to prank your teammates.
