To survive LEGO Fortnite’s truly deadly Dry Valley and Frostlands biome, you’ll need to come prepared. Fortunately, there are plenty of Charms and food items you can craft in order to improve your resistance to certain temperatures. However, those items, especially Charms, require some incredibly rare resources, including Ruby. If you’re hoping to locate some Ruby but don’t know where to look, don’t panic. You’re definitely not alone. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered with its exact location and instructions on how to mine it below.
How To Get Ruby In LEGO Fortnite
Ruby is a biome-specific, deep-red-coloured ore deposit only found in Lava Caves located in the Dry Valley. Ruby is usually found near lava or in elevated hard-to-reach spots in Lava Caves, which means you’ll need to be ready with materials to build up to it or use a Grappler. If you find yourself in a common Dry Valley Cave without the presence of lava, the likelihood of you finding Ruby is incredibly rare.
To mine Ruby, you will need to craft a Rare or higher-tier Pickaxe. Any tier below Rare won’t be able to mine the Ruby at all. When mining Ruby, it will usually be found in clusters, each dropping two Rough Ruby pieces. This means collecting a stockpile of Ruby will be beneficial as this resource does not drop a significant amount of materials.

Additionally, surviving the Dry Valley heat is similar to staying warm in the Frostlands’ freezing temperature. To avoid dying in the heat, players must either obtain or craft heat resistance charms, such as the Cool-Headed Charm. However, if players do not have access to either of these charms yet, acquiring Snowberries and the Snowberry Shake is another way to keep cool. Although these are not permanent fixes, they will help you survive the heat for a significant amount of time, especially if you have a large amount of consumables.
