Sand Land: All Vehicles & How to Unlock Them

Sand Land has an array of vehicles for players to unlock and use in their search for the Legendary Spring. We have you covered on all of them.

Sand Land’s premise may sound like anime Mad Max to many, and that’s pretty accurate. It sees players zip across dusty dunes in a variety of makeshift vehicles, including motorbikes, cars, and even mechs. Of course, with such a wide range of vehicles at your disposal, players will be keen to know how to unlock them all. Although you may know how to repair your current one, we provide a list of all the vehicles in the game and how to unlock them.

How Many Vehicles Are In Sand Land?

There are 13 vehicles that players can unlock and use while playing Sand Land. The vehicles are unlockable throughout various parts of the game and are yours to keep and summon once you have acquired them. Each one is different and has gameplay styles that set them apart.

How to Unlock Vehicles in Sand Land

Vehicle #1 – Battle Armor

The Battle Armor is a combat vehicle that is designed all around close quarters fighting. Its primary attacks are through its arms. The limbs can change functions, such as a drill arm that charges at enemies and deals damage when it hits and an arm with a shield attached to block incoming damage. Additionally, the Battle Armor can clear blocked paths and shift heavy objects like containers.

  • How to Unlock: Complete Main Quest Mission #21 called “Rescue Mission!”

Vehicle #2 – Battle Bot

The Battle Bot is a much tankier version of the Battle Armor in Sand Land. While it may not look menacing with its cartoony face, don’t overlook it. The Battle Bot has even more armor, which, despite making it move slower, allows it to hit even harder than its counterpart.

  • How to Unlock: Complete the Side Quest called “New Battle-bot Frame.”

Vehicle #3 – Battle Tank

The Battle Tank is the iconic vehicle of Sand Land. It is a versatile vehicle that has incredible firepower through the use of its cannon. Players can move the tank in any direction and operate the turret separately in a 360-degree orientation. This allows for great advantage over enemies and will enable you to always be on the move while taking out enemies.

  • How to Unlock: Complete Main Quest Mission #5 called “A Tank? Sign Me Up!”
  • How to Unlock: Complete one of three bounties: “Nihilistic Commander Arita,” “Cave Dweller Corndo,” or “Riotous Leader.”

Vehicle #4 – Car

The car is a simple vehicle. Although it may look like a silly golf cart, it has its uses. It is an all-rounder with good movement, firepower, and durability. Players can attach a trailer cart to the car and mount weapons.

  • How to Unlock: Complete the “Car Part Scavenge” Side Quest in Spino. Players must first complete both the “A Jump-bot?! Gimme!” Main Quest and “Task from Mayor Tor” Side Quest to initiate it.
  • How to Unlock: Complete the “Reckless Driver Yarsiv” bounty.
  • How to Unlock: Finish the Buggy Race before the time limit ends in the Race Registration: Desert in the Chapa region.

Vehicle #5 – Dirt Buggy

The Dirt Buggy is an off-road vehicle similar to an ATV. It excels in mobility as it can pivot quickly while always being on the move. Players can also weaponize it with rockets to take enemies down and stay moving fast. They almost wouldn’t know what hit them with the Dirt Buggy.

  • How to Unlock: Complete the “Reckless Outlaw Utch” bounty.
  • How to Unlock: Finish the Bike Race before the time limit ends in the Race Registration: Desert in the Chapa region.

Vehicle #6 – Hopper

The Hopper is a bi-pedal, walking mech in Sand Land. Given the name, the vehicle specializes in jumping high. The Hopper can be equipped to defend itself with weapons just like other vehicles.

  • How to Unlock: Complete the “All for the Hopper” Side Quest.
  • How to Unlock: Complete the “Hopper Rider Kero Ki” bounty.
  • How to Unlock: Purchasable from the Trading Post in Spino for 5 Ancient Silver Coins.

Vehicle #7 – Hover Tank

The Hover Tank is an airborne variant of the Battle Tank. As it flies around, its weapons primarily focus on long-range attacks. This gives players a significant advantage of having the higher ground against an enemy while doing damage to them. However, note that the aim will take getting used to as the hover function gets in the way.

Vehicle #8 – Hovercar

The Hovercar is the floating sibling of the Car vehicle. It sports weapon placements on its front end to ensure players can defend themselves despite its light armor. Furthermore, it has a Boost feature to help cross significant gaps around the map or reach higher spots.

  • How to Unlock: Complete Main Quest Mission #19 called “Aquanium Recovery.”

Vehicle #9 – Hoverjet

The Hoverjet outpaces all of the other hover vehicles in sheer speed. It also provides excellent maneuverability, similar to the Dirt Buggy, meaning players can be harder to hit. Attaching weapons to the Hoverjet gives you a defensive advantage by being a small and fast target with the aggressive ability to take down your opponents.

  • How to Unlock: Complete the “Lone Feral Child” bounty.
  • How to Unlock: Finish the Buggy Race before the time limit ends in the Race Registration: Coast in the Rohti region.

Vehicle #10 – Hoverscooter

The Hoverscooter is, well, a hovering scooter. As it is small and versatile, it excels at being a lightning-fast, agile vehicle. For players who may need an escape in an intense battle, using the Hoverscooter is a safe bet. It can even travel over water, making it useful in any situation. You can also mount weapons on it like machine guns.

  • How to Unlock: Complete the “Charming Mocker Schute” bounty.

Vehicle #11 – Jump-Bot

The Jump-Bot is another bi-pedal mech that has incredible high jumping power. It has unique stomping attacks due to this ability but also can be equipped with various weapons. Players should note that the weapons available to the Jump-Bot focus on splash damage over direct hit damage to enemies.

Vehicle #12 – Motorbike

The Motorbike is all about speed and getting away quickly. It suffers in maneuverability, so players must prepare, as it does not turn on a dime. However, using machine guns, such as Gatling Guns on the front, you can perform good damage while being fast enough to avoid significant return fire.

Vehicle #13 – Uniride

The Uniride is a one-wheeled variant of the Motorbike vehicle. However, unlike its counterpart, the Uniride has fantastic maneuverability, meaning it can turn fast. As a unique bonus, it comes equipped with the ability to hover, helping to get up high when needed.
