The most efficient way to bring down Scout Striders in Helldivers 2 is by shooting its legs with any Primary or Machine Gun Support Weapon. By doing so, it will be stunned, and players can flank them to shoot and kill the Automaton pilot. This method works well solo and with other players, as getting around the front-facing shieldplate of the Scout Strider is the main priority in the fight. However, flanking the pilot isn’t the only way.

Alternatively, you can use any armor-piercing weapons such as Assault Rifles, Senator Magnum, Support Machine Guns, or Anti-Material Rifles. Using those, aiming at the joint between the legs and shooting it will count as a kill and bring down the Scout Strider. Doing so effectively kills two birds with one stone. Additionally, a Recoilless Rifle will easily bring down the Scout Strider, leaving nothing but parts.

However, it is important that you do not shoot directly at the face plate covering the Automaton, as it is resistant to standard bullets.
