Lethal Company is terrifying players everywhere, but apparently, it’s not enough, as fans are requesting a VR version. But can you play the game entirely in VR?
Lethal Company has absolutely taken the gaming world by storm thanks to its clever blend of creepy monsters, PS1-esque visuals, and mysterious setting. It is doing so well, in fact, that fans are already requesting console ports and even a VR version. Of course, putting the year’s scariest game in VR may seem like an amazing idea to some, but is it currently a reality? Below, we explain whether Lethal Company can be, or ever will be, played in VR.
No Lethal Company does not have a dedicated VR mode or version. However, it is getting a VR mod courtesy of fans that completely transforms it into a VR experience. The mod, which is not publically available at the moment, is being created by DaXcess / rodabafilms. It is under development and has only been in production for a month or so. A short gameplay clip of the mod was released on X (formerly Twitter) by user Flat2VR. You can see the gameplay below.
Suffice it to say Lethal Company in VR is infinitely scarier in VR than it is normally. Unfortunately, there is no clear date as to when this mod will be available to everyone. The mod doesn’t even have a name as of yet, so it’s fair to assume it is a little ways off being completed just yet. However, the overwhelming amount of support from fans will surely encourage the developers to see it through to the end.
It is also unclear whether an official VR mode or version will ever be implemented. Considering it is being developed by a 1-person team, the chances are slim. Although, it’s always better to remain positive, so never say never. That’s everything you need to know about Lethal Company VR. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Games Hub.
