Cut Amber is a precious resource in LEGO Fortnite that is used in a variety of recipes in the game, and here is how to get it and what it’s used for.
There are varying types of materials in LEGO Fortnite, with a vast amount of them. Some of the vital items in the game are hidden behind obtaining and reengineering them for other uses. Below, we explain how players can get Cut Amber.
Cut Amber is created by obtaining Rough Amber from the tops of Mesas in the Dry Valley and placing it in a Gem Cutter. Rough Amber is the raw variant of the gem and, therefore, needs to be cleaned and cut to change.
Players must first head to a Mesa in the desert biome (bring anything with heat resistance). The structures are the biome’s version of mountains and usually resemble little spires. After using an Uncommon Pickaxe or stronger and mining the amber, it must be placed within a Gem Cutter, and the recipe for Cut Amber must be selected.
To have a Gem Cutter to build, players need to acquire the following components:
After collecting Amber in LEGO Fortnite, the Gem Cutter schematic is automatically unlocked for players.
As many schematics in the game are unavailable at the start, they have different prerequisites to craft them. In terms of the Gem Cutter, it is very convenient as many players will be searching for the Rough Amber while in the Dry Valley, and once they grab their first piece, a notification will pop up on the screen, notifying them that they can build it.
