How to Unlock the Fishing Rod in Hades 2
To unlock the Fishing Rod in Hades 2, you must first unlock the ability to use and equip Gathering Tools in the Crossroads. Then, you need to gather Bronze and F-Fabric to unlock the Fishing Rod. After you’ve done this, you can equip the Fishing Rod and use it to catch any fish you come across during a run in Hades 2.
To unlock Gathering Tools, you must unlock the Night’s Craftwork Incantation with 1 Moly at the Cauldron in the Crossroads. Moly is an easily attainable resource and can be found as a normal pickup in Erebus. Once unlocked, head over to the Silver Pool area at the Crossroads and select the “Rod of Fishing” in the menu. You’ll need the following to unlock it:
- 1 Bronze
- You can only obtain Bronze with a Crescent Pick later in the Surface area in Hades 2.
- To access the Surface, you must perform the Permeation of Witching-Wards Incantation to break the ward and head up the stairs in the Crossroads. Then, you need to perform the Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation to ensure your survival once there. However, this process may take a while, as you’ll need late-game items to perform these Incantations.
- You can only obtain Bronze with a Crescent Pick later in the Surface area in Hades 2.
- 2 F-Fabric
- The easiest way of obtaining F-Fabric is by trading with the Wretched Broker at the Crossroads. You can purchase it for 60 Bones.
After you have gathered the necessary materials, you can unlock and equip the Fishing Rod and start catching some fish.
How to Catch Fish in Hades 2
To catch Fish in Hades 2, you need to keep an eye out for glowing points of light in pools of water while exploring the underworld. Then, you need to interact with the pool to initiate the fishing minigame. After a short period, you’ll notice your fishing line tug and “bob” beneath the water. That’s your queue to press the interact button and catch some fish!
