In partnership with IGN, SXSW presented its various Gaming Awards on Saturday, March 20, with Hades taking out the big prize of Game of the Year.
There were 43 nominees across 12 categories, with a lot of big games receiving awards. Half-Life: Alyx, The Last of Us Part II, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Ghost of Tsushima and DOOM Eternal all picked up awards at the ceremony. However, Hades and Deep Rock Galactic were the front runners, both winning 2 categories.
