Nectar is an Indulgence material in Hades 2. It’s one of a handful of very rare resources that have only a handful of specific purposes. While it’s a little tricky to get your hands on, it’s well worth the effort. Fortunately, we’ve broken down exactly how to get it and what you can use it for.

How to Get Nectar in Hades 2

There are five different ways to get Nectar in Hades 2. These include using the Kinship Fortune Incantation, purchasing it from the Wretched Broker, getting it by completing certain encounters, buying it from Charon, or completing the Harbinger of Doom objective. We explain how to do each of these methods in the list below:

  • Using the Kinship Fortune Incantation – This requires 60 Bones to do. Once completed, it will summon the Wretched Broker to the Crossroads and give you 1 Nectar.
  • Purchase it from the Wretched Broker – You can buy 1 Nectar for 30 Bones from the Wretched Broker. Once you’ve bought 1, you’ll need to go and do a run before it is restocked.
  • Get it by completing encounters – You will get Nectar by completing encounters with the bottle of golden liquid symbol on the door. Simply clear the room, and you’ll get some Nectar.
  • Buy it from Charon – You can buy Nectar from Charon’s shop for Obols.
  • Complete the Harbinger of Doom objective – This requires you to use the Doomed Beckoning Incantation, which costs 3 Fate Fabric and 1 Nightshade. Once cast, you’ll summon Moros to the Crossroads, completing the Harbinger of Doom objective. You’ll receive 1 Nectar as a reward.

How to Use Nectar in Hades 2

You can use Nectar to increase your relationships with NPCs in Hades 2 and unlock new Keepsakes. Most characters in Hades 2 can be gifted Nectar. You simply need to go over to them, press the Gift button, and choose Nectar. Once you’ve given them Nectar, they’ll give you their Keepsake, which are powerful accessories that will give you huge passive buffs. Make sure to give your Nectar to the right Gods early on in order to get the best Keepsakes.

The more Nectar you give, the better your relationship with that character grows. This will unlock new dialogue with that character, deepening their backstory. If you give someone Nectar and they don’t want it, they’ll give it back to you.

It’s also worth noting that Nectar is used as a recipe in some Incantations, including Rite of Social Solidarity and Faith of Familiar Spirits. That’s everything you need to know about Nectar in Hades 2. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
