Dragon’s Dogma 2 Trophies Reveal You Can Buy Your Own House

A recently leaked Trophies list of Dragon’s Dogma 2 has revealed that you can buy a house to call your own.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 seems to fully realize Capcom’s vision of everything the first Dragon’s Dogma could not include. One feature that didn’t make the cut was the option to buy and own a house to come home to after a hard day’s monster slaying. However, after looking through the complete list of Trophies and Achievements for Dragon’s Dogma 2, it seems the feature to buy a house has finally made its way to the game all these years later.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Trophies Hint at Owning Your Own House

According to the “A House? In This Economy?” Bronze Trophy for Dragon’s Dogma 2, you will be able to purchase a house for your character. The Trophy’s description states: “Purchased a dwelling of your own.” This confirms that you can buy property to call yours in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Game Director Hideaki Itsuno mentioned in an interview with Automaton that “there were many technological shortcomings” associated with the original Dragon’s Dogma. They had to leave a few bright ideas on the cutting room floor. For Dragon’s Dogma 2, Itsuno says that “all dungeons, towns and house interiors will be seamlessly connected.” This suggests that there will be more of a focus on the inside of buildings this time. We’re crossing our fingers for the ability to decorate our abodes Animal Crossing style.

Technically, the Arisen had a house in the original Dragon’s Dogma, though you could not interact with it meaningfully. It seems that houses will play a more significant role in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Recent previews suggest you can romance NPCs and take them back to your place for a bit of hanky panky. Another leaked Trophy suggests that NPCs will fight over your affection – just make sure they don’t mess up the feng shui!

The Trophy mentions that you can purchase a “dwelling,” but what could this be? The word “House” in the Trophy’s title may give it away, but we wonder if other types of residence will be available for you to spend your hard-earned gold on. Perhaps a luxury east-facing spacious two-story apartment with a rooftop terrace? Here’s hoping.

Either way, it seems like you’ll be able to buy your own property so you can put your feet up in Dragon’s Dogma 2 when it releases on March 22. Until then, head over to our Guide Hub for everything else on Dragon’s Dogma 2.
