Dragon’s Dogma 2 Update Will Make Dragonsplague More Manageable

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will soon receive an update that will make the inconvenient disease Dragonsplague more manageable.

Drangonsplague is an unfortunate illness your Pawns can catch in Dragons Dogma 2. Luckily, your Arisen cannot catch the disease. However, if a Pawn catches Dragonsplague, it can have huge consequences on the game world, including killing a lot of NPCs, including important ones and vendors. Fortunately, Capcom has announced an upcoming update coming to every platform, which will drastically decrease the impact of Dragonsplague.

How Will Dragonsplague Be More Manageable After the Update?

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Dragonsplague will become more manageable as the infection frequency will be reduced, and players will be able to see the signs of the infected Pawns more clearly. This includes, for example, Pawn’s glowing red eyes to glow brighter. No official date has been announced for the update. Only an update window has been mentioned on Dragon’s Dogma 2 official X (formerly Twitter) account. Players won’t need to be patient for long as the update will be available to download sometime during April 2024.

Players should keep in mind that the upcoming update will not completely eradicate the disease. You’ll still need to remain vigilant when going through rifts and picking Pawns for your team. This fix will make your gaming experience more enjoyable, as the disease’s frequency will be reduced and more noticeable before it’s too late.

The upcoming update also includes a number of other fixes players have been hoping for. These include fixing a selection of crashes and freezing in specific circumstances, adjusting Pawn behavior and dialogue, and adding the option to zoom in on the faces of the Arisen and Pawns in shops, etc.

This update will also fix mini-map issues, bugs where players could be jailed for fighting monsters in town, and escort quests that could fail when accessing the Character Edit, along with other miscellaneous bugs. Suffice it to say, once the update goes live, players can look forward to an even more enjoyable experience.

What Is Dragonsplague In Dragon’s Dogma?

Dragonsplague is a disease that Pawns get when interacting with the Rift, such as being used by other players. Pawns will spread it to other Pawns in a party, causing it to eventually affect most players. Once infected, your Main Pawn will begin to act erratically and abnormally towards the Arisen, ignoring commands and dropping their previously affectionate behavior. In addition to this change in behavior, your Pawn’s eyes will begin to glow red. If the disease is left untreated, a terrifying calamity will happen at the settlement you rested in. A cutscene will show the affected Pawn has killed everyone in and near the village or city you rested in.

It’s safe to say that no player wants Dragonplague to infect their Pawn. Luckily, this upcoming update will make it easier for players to manage Dragonsplague. That’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 update that downscales Dragonsplague.
