Indie developer Clapperheads invites players to take part in their latest game, Zoochosis, which offers a unique twist on the horror sim genre: a bodycam horror simulation that takes you on a horrific first night shift as a zoo caretaker. When checking the enclosures, you notice certain zoo animals are sick with a parasite, turning them into terrifying bloodthirsty mutants. You may have the strength to cure the infected animals before the parasite spreads, but you could die trying. Below, we discuss what to expect from Zoochosis.

What Is Zoochosis?

Zoochosis is a bodycam horror simulation that takes you on a terrifying journey as you try to cure the infected zoo animals that have become horrifically mutated versions of themselves. Zoochosis also introduces a new horror experience for fans of the genre, as the main gameplay is shot from a bodycam strapped to your chest.

In Zoochosis, players find themselves as a recently hired night zookeeper. At first, things seem normal, but as your shift progresses, you discover the animals are acting strange. Unbeknownst to you, a horrific parasite is spreading among the animals and mutating them into unsettling monsters that will do anything to escape. Of course, that includes killing you.

The goal of Zoochosis is to identify the infected animals and then cure them with a vaccine you have created. You’ll uncover the mysteries of the zoo as you try to survive, all while your choices determine your ending. You can watch the announcement trailer for Zoochosis below.
