Assassin's Creed Mirage world of Baghdad

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is Releasing A Week Early

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest game in the long-running franchise by Ubisoft, and, after a recent announcement on X (Twitter), will release a week earlier than originally anticipated.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise has received backlash over the last few years, straying too far from the foundations of the series. Fortunately, Mirage is bringing back the old-school parkour fun, and now, a week earlier than we initially thought.

When Does Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release on Thursday, October 5, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ to access the game at launch as well.

The game was originally releasing a week later on October 12, 2023, but the developers announced that the game had gone gold via X (Twitter) earlier today.

What is Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a soft reboot of the series, drawing strong inspiration from the original Assassin’s Creed games with Altair and Ezio. Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the game is set in ninth-century Baghdad and offers a condensed, narrative-driven action-adventure experience, featuring the protagonist Basim.

From what we have seen so far, Mirage seems to be shorter and less expansive than the recent Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While the game can be completed in 20 hours, players will immerse themselves in the classic parkour, stealth, and assassination gameplay elements that defined the first games in the Assassin’s Creed series. This is exactly what we’ve been asking for, and we can’t wait to delve into the game in October.
