New Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Expansion Gets Release Date

Ubisoft has announced the release date for the latest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansion, The Siege of Paris, and announced the Sigrblot Festival.

In addition to the next major expansion, Season 3, Sigrblot Season, will go live this Thursday, 29th July for all players until 19th August. The Sigrblot Festival will feature exclusive rewards and activities accessible to all players.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Seige of Paris Expansion

The Siege of Paris, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second major expansion, will be released on the 12th of August. Set in Francia, players will, once again, take control of Eivor, as he adventures on a dangerous path across the Frankish countryside. Fortunately, the journey will take you to one of the most infamous conquest battles in Viking history. Players will experience new weapons, abilities, gear, and skills to take on the new enemy threat.

The new expansion will also mark the return of Infiltration Missions, inherited from the fan-favourite Black Box Missions. In these missions, players will have a choice to determine the best way to eliminate their designated target. The Siege of Paris will be available free of cost for all Season Pass owners or as a separate purchase by all owners of the main game.

Alongside the expansion, The Seige of Paris music album will also release on August 12th. Fortunately, for those who are eager to listen, the first track, Hásæti, is available right now. Stephanie Economou, the new song’s composer, wanted to evoke a sense of spirituality and depth in the music. The lyrics are in Old Norse, and Hásæti translates to Seat of Honor. You can listen to it here.

The Sigrblot Festival

Beginning on Thursday, 29th July, players can celebrate summer in the time-limited Sigrblot Festival. This festival is a traditional Viking festival that celebrates the start of the Raiding season. Players can take part in plenty of activities around the traditional bonfire in the Ravensthorpe settlement. These include:

  • Flyting.
  • Fight Tournament.
  • Dice Game mini-games.
  • Three new quests.
  • Exclusive rewards.

Additionally, the one-handed sword, Skrofnung, can be acquired with Sigrblot tokens in the festival shop for a limited time before the end of the festival on August 19. In order to experience the festival, players must reach England and complete either the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire narrative arc. They will also have to increase their settlement to level 2.
