Windblown is an upcoming game by the creators behind the popular Dead Cells games, coming next year in 2024.
The game premiered in the pre-show for The Game Awards 2023, and here is everything you need to know about this upcoming roguelike game.
What is Windblown?
Windblown is an upcoming roguelike game, where players take on the role of Leapers, brave warriors in a relentless struggle to defend their home, The Ark, from the perilous Vortex and its Sentinel minions.
Players can navigate freely throughout the open stages and uncover secrets along the way by absorbing the memories of fallen warriors who came before. This allows you to master your ancestor’s fighting styles to unleash your full potential. There are multiple weapons for every situation, and as players unlock more memories, they will grow stronger. The gameplay is hard but fair, which is something you can usually expect from any roguelike game.
If you want to play Windblown with friends, players can team up with three mates online in co-op. It’s unconfirmed if you can play locally.
The team at Motion Twin had this to say about their upcoming game: “We were craving a lightning-fast combat roguelite, but it simply didn’t exist. So, we rolled up our sleeves and crafted the game we yearned for; one that lets us dive into the action on our own, and with friends, whenever the mood (or too much pain) strikes!“
When Does Windblown Release?
