Final Fantasy 16

What is the Hunt Board?

The Hunt Board is an in-game activity in Final Fantasy 16 that allows you to find and take down challenging beasts for a sizeable bounty of gil and renown. The actual board itself is unlocked in The Hideaway by talking to Gav after completing the story mission: The Gathering Storm.

After finding the specified enemy on the Hunt Board, go back and talk to Otto the Moogle to receive your rewards. Clearing all the hunts in the Hunt Board is required for a Silver PlayStation Trophy for those looking to snag the Platinum.

What’s unique about the Hunt Board is that the locations of the actual monsters are not listed, forcing you to explore and search every nook and cranny of an area to find your target. As the tier list of hunts gets higher, so are the descriptions of said hunts, but they usually provide a general idea of where you should look.

Where is Svarog, Ruin Reawakened Located in Final Fantasy 16?

Svarog, Ruin Reawakened is a Level 50 S-Tier hunt located in the Mornebrume in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque region. You can find this giant dragon at the end of the path by fast traveling to the Caer Norvent Glorieuse Gate Obelisk. It will be waiting for you in a conveniently sized arena.

It is important to note that the Svarog, Ruin Reawakened hunt won’t be unlocked until you complete the main quest: Things Fall Apart and reach level 50 with Clive.

Being an S-tier hunt, Svarog is an extremely tough fight. Be sure to stock up on potions and other consumable items to gain an advantage in battle, especially Stoneskin Tonics. A useful tip might be to master the Will o’ the Wykes Eikon ability as it negates up to 4 attacks.

Svarog has 4 deadly moves to learn and study:

  • Blazing Legion: Floating fireballs that aren’t too difficult to avoid, but Svarog will also fire lasers on the ground simultaneously
  • Embroil: Svarog summons fireballs that become fire rings and expand outwards
  • Red Dawn: 2 pulsing fire pillars will emerge and converge after a while
  • Last Dance: Svarog does the above 3 moves in succession when its HP reaches a threshold

Rewards: Svarog, Ruin Reawakened drops 25000 experience points, 300 ability points, 1 Empty Shard, 1 Amber, 1 Fallen Enigma, and 1 Orichalcum. Orichalcum is an extremely rare material used for crafting end-game gear. Completing the hunt rewards you with 30000 Gil and 60 Renown.

See below for a description of the hunt:

Sanbrequois legend tells of a dread dragon who set near half the realm alight with his torrid breath, before being sealed away behind a magical mist—by Greagor Herself, some sources claim. Thought it has long been forgotten which parts of the tale are true and which are mere myth, recent reports of a great dragon’s roar reverberating around the woodland passes of the empire are real enough.
