Where to Find Soul Stingers in Final Fantasy 16

Just started on the Hunt Board in Final Fantasy 16 and wondering where the Soul Stingers are? Don’t worry as we got the answer right here for you.

Partaking in optional hunts with the Hunt Board is a great way to change up the gameplay and narrative pace and snag up extra rewards in doing so too.

What is the Hunt Board?

The Hunt Board is an in-game activity in Final Fantasy 16 that allows you to find and take down challenging beasts for a sizeable bounty of gil and renown. The actual board itself is unlocked in The Hideaway by talking to Gav after completing the story mission: The Gathering Storm.

After finding the specified enemy on the Hunt Board, go back and talk to Otto the Moogle to receive your rewards. Clearing all the hunts in the Hunt Board is required for a Silver PlayStation Trophy for those looking to snag the Platinum.

What’s unique about the Hunt Board is that the locations of the actual monsters are not listed, forcing you to explore and search every nook and cranny of an area to find your target. As the tier list of hunts gets higher, so are the descriptions of said hunts, but they usually provide a general idea of where you should look.

Where are Soul Stingers Located in Final Fantasy 16?

Soul Stingers are a Level 32 C Tier hunt located near the Empty Hovel in The Dhalmekian Replublic region. You can find these flying insects at The Fields of Corava by fast traveling to The Dravozd Obelisk. They will be waiting for you in an open area in the fields near some rocks.

It is important to note that the Soul Stingers hunt won’t be unlocked until about halfway through the main campaign of Final Fantasy 16.

Soul Stingers isn’t one enemy, but a group of smaller insects that make up a formidable foe. They mostly act like normal wasps with the exception of some special moves, including one that glows red signifying an incoming deadly coordinated group attack. Keep all of the bugs in your line of sight and take them out one by one and you’ll come out victorious in no time.

Rewards: Soul Stingers drop 400 experience points, 40 ability points, 10 Magicked Ash, 50 Sharp Fang, and 20 Bloody Hide. Completing the hunt rewards you with 5500 Gil and 10 Renown.

See below for a description of the hunt:

A swarm of vicious vilekin has of late made its nest near an abandoned village in the Fields of Corava, and as the hive has grown, so too has its hunger. Already, the stripped corpses of great beasts have been sighted in its vicinity. Should the vilekin be left to their own devices, the nearby settlements shall surely be reduced to naught but a collection of bleached bones within a twelvemoon.
