Where to Find Bomb King in Final Fantasy 16

Just started on the Hunt Board in Final Fantasy 16 and wondering where Bomb King is. Don’t worry as we got the answer right here for you.

Partaking in optional hunts with the Hunt Board is a great way to change up the gameplay and narrative pace and snag up extra rewards in doing so too.

What is the Hunt Board?

The Hunt Board is an in-game activity in Final Fantasy 16 that allows you to find and take down challenging beasts for a sizeable bounty of gil and renown. The actual board itself is unlocked in The Hideaway by talking to Gav after completing the story mission: The Gathering Storm.

After finding the specified enemy on the Hunt Board, go back and talk to Otto the Moogle to receive your rewards. Clearing all the hunts in the Hunt Board is required for a Silver PlayStation Trophy for those looking to snag the Platinum.

What’s unique about the Hunt Board is that the locations of the actual monsters are not listed, forcing you to explore and search every nook and cranny of an area to find your target. As the tier list of hunts gets higher, so are the descriptions of said hunts, but they usually provide a general idea of where you should look.

Where is Bomb King Located in Final Fantasy 16?

Bomb King is a Level 33 B Tier hunt located near The Imperial Chase in the southeast corner of the Sanbreque region. You can find this raging ball of flame at The Crock by fast traveling to The Dragon’s Aery Obelisk. He will be waiting for you at the far end of some fallen ruins of an abandoned building.

You must begin the side quest titled “Weird Science” before information about Bomb King shows up on the Hunt Board. This quest shows up after completing the main mission: Letting Off Steam III.

The Bomb King, itself, is a magic user that uses Coronation, which creates a massive explosion that leaves a burning area and King Justice, which summons lesser bombs that will self-destruct. Be sure to pick up the item needed to complete the quest after defeating the fireball!

Rewards: Bomb King drops 1000 experience points, 65 ability points, and a Bomb Ember. Completing the hunt rewards you with 12150 Gil and 20 Renown.

See below for a description of the hunt:

A Cursebreaker aiming for the Imperial Chase took a wrong turn into a nearby wood, within which she discovered the ruins of a Fallen airship—and within them, a beast akin to a great ball of fire that chased her screaming from the grove. The soldier later identified the creature in an almanac of echoes, but was firm in her insistence that the “bomb” she saw was near ten times the size of the one depicted therein.
