Zack and Cloud in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

When Is the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo Junon Update?

If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the Junon update for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo, then you’re in luck. It’s right around the corner.

The unofficially titled Junon update for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo promises to add a wealth of content. While players have been limited to a short linear sequence from the start of the game, the Junon update will add a huge open area among other significant changes. Of course, this means that players are excited to get their hands on it. Unfortunately, Square Enix didn’t initially confirm when it would be released. However, a release date has now been officially announced, and players don’t have long to wait.

When Is the Junon Update For Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo?

The Junon part of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo will be added on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. This is 8 days before the full game releases on February 29 and 2 weeks after the demo was originally released. Players will have had ample time to try out the Nibelheim episode, although if you’ve still not tried it, don’t worry. It will still be available after the Junon Update releases.

What Does the Junon Update Add to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo?

The Junon update will add the Junon region to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo and a graphical overhaul to the performance mode. The new region will be an open area and will contain some side activities for players to complete. You’ll be able to roam the area outside of the city of Junon, as well as ride Chocobos, play as other companions such as Red XIII, and take on a deadly boss.

The graphical update will fix the murky textures, character model issues, and poor lighting present in the demo’s performance mode. These fixes are also coming to the full game. Players have been complaining about the low-quality visuals in the performance mode since the demo was released. So, the update will be a huge win for them.

It’s also worth noting that there won’t be any exclusive content in the Junon update that players won’t get to experience in the full game. Everything in the demo will be present in the full release, so if you’re thinking of skipping it, don’t worry. That’s everything you need to know about the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Junon update.
