If you’ve booted up The Finals and tried to add a friend only to find that the Social tab doesn’t have the option to, don’t worry. You’re definitely not alone. Fortunately, there’s a very easy solution, but it’s not immediately clear. Below, we’ve explained exactly how to add friends in The Finals with a step-by-step guide.
How to Add Friends in The Finals
To add a friend on The Finals, you must first turn on crossplay in the settings, then go to the Social tab and select Add Friend. It’s not clear that crossplay must be on in order for the Add Friend option to appear as, if you don’t turn it on, the Social tab will just inform you that you haven’t added any friends. Here is a complete breakdown of how to add friends in The Finals:
- Turn on Crossplay
- Go to Settings (the cog icon in the top right)
- Select Gameplay
- Scroll down until you find Network
- Switch Crossplay from Off to On
- Go back to the main menu.
- Select the Social tab in the top right (the icon of two people)
- Click Add Friend
If you go to the settings menu from the social menu and then back out again, it will still not show the Add Friends option. Once you’ve turned Crossplay on, make sure to go all the way back to the main menu and then select the Social tab.
