Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League: Which Characters Die?
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is about eradicating the Justice League, but who exactly dies at the hands of the Suicide Squad?
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been released 72 hours early for those who pre-ordered the game. However, it launched with a bug that rendered the entire campaign completed as soon as you launched the game. This has led to players revealing what happens to the Justice League at the end of the story. Below, we discuss who dies in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
*Disclaimer: This article contains major spoilers for the end of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, including the deaths of characters.
Who Dies in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
Every member of the Justice League, including Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman, is killed by the Suicide Squad in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Additionally, Superman kills Wonder Woman, and the Suicide Squad kills Brainiac at the end of the game. None of the Suicide Squad are killed during the events of the base game. You can see all of the character deaths below.
However, it is very unlikely that any of the Justice League are actually dead. Considering the post-launch content is centered around Elseworld stories (aka a multiverse), players can likely expect the Justice League to return. Additionally, in many scenes in which they die, outside of Batman and Wonder Woman, they either die off-screen, or it’s not completely confirmed that they’re dead.
Many of these deaths have been heavily criticized by fans, causing significant backlash. The most controversial is Arkham Batman. After 15 years, this beloved character has been put to rest, but not in a way players are happy with. Batman’s last scene was posted online by Dan Allen Gaming on YouTube. In it, Harley Quinn can be seen defeating Batman once and for all by shooting him in the head.
Although this scene has been shared out of context, fans of Arkham Batman have been expressing their distaste for it. They seemingly believe it disrespects his legacy, as he was not honorably defeated but rather exhausted on a bench while still being controlled by Brainiac. However, fans speculate that Batman has faked his death in his final scene in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This belief is held for all the other Justice League members.
