Starfield Announces Updates and New Content for 2024
Bethesda has announced new content and updates coming to Starfield in 2024 and a brand new expansion called Shattered Space.
In a recent blog post by Bethesda, the developers thanked community support and announced that the game had reached 13 million players since its release in September. Ultimately, this makes Starfield Bethesda’s biggest launch in history. Fortunately, fans of the game can look forward to new content in 2024, and here are all the details about new content and updates for next year.
Starfield is planning to release updates every six weeks starting in February, and will range “from quality-of-life improvements to content and feature updates.” Fortunately, the developers have been listening to player feedback and are introducing new ways to travel, city maps, and expanding on ship customization with ship decorations, new ship-building options, and more.
There will also be new gameplay options that can directly affect Starfield’s difficulty options, allowing you to make the game easier or more difficult. You will be able to customize carry capacity, cargo access distance, ship damage, vendor credits, how you suffer afflictions, new survival mechanics, and more.
Beginning early next year, Starfield will be receiving official mod support with the introduction of Creations. “Starfield will be getting its own exporter, and you’ll have access to a new Creation Kit. Modding has always been an enormous part of our games, with incredible community-made content constantly bringing fresh new experiences. With the scale and systems in Starfield, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!“
