As the new year begins, Sony is likely looking to show off what fans can expect on the PS5. Naturally, to do this it would host a State of Play. They typically reveal new info on third-party titles arriving on the platform, as well as info regarding first-party exclusives. However, so far, a State of Play has not been announced, leaving fans wondering when new information on the likes of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will drop. PlayStation State of Play 2024 Date

A new State of Play may arrive in the next few weeks. It could potentially drop as early as late January or early February. This was rumored by Jeff Grubb from Giantbomb during the Giant Bombcast. During the episode, he stated confidently, “There is a State of Play coming. When exactly, I’m not sure. But I would expect it in the next few weeks.”

Of course, Sony has not yet confirmed this information. That being said, as Grubb is a trusted and reliable source when it comes to information like showcases, it is likely to happen. The State of Play will likely give more information on upcoming games in Q1 and Q2 of 2024. Whether it is first or third party remains to be seen, but details of soon-to-launch games may be presented.
