Smoliv, the Olive Pokemon, is the latest Pokemon to debut in the game during the Harvest Festival event, and catching a brand new Shiny before anyone else is significant bragging rights.
The Harvest Festival is available now until Monday, October 17, 2023, at 8:00 pm in your local timezone. This means you’ll have plenty of time to catch Smoliv.
Can You Catch Shiny Smoliv in Pokemon Go?
Unfortunately, you can’t catch a Shiny Smoliv in Pokemon Go. This is a huge disappointment for everyone who would have wanted to add a new Shiny to their collection.
There is no confirmation on when Shiny Smoliv, or its evolutions, will be added to the game. Instead, you might have to look towards other Pokemon in the Harvest Festival to scratch the Shiny Hunting itch.
What Does Shiny Smoliv Look Like?
Even though Shiny Smoliv is not in the game, we still know what it will look like when it does arrive. Being based on an olive, the Shiny variant changes the main body from green to yellow. Moreover, the top also changes color, resembling the typical color of an olive.
The evolutions of Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva have very minor changes when they are Shiny. Both of them benefit from the black olive coloring, but apart from this, they are quite similar to the original.
