It’s getting towards the spooky season in Pokemon Go, and before the annual Halloween event, Niantic is launching the Harvest Festival.
This event focuses on Grass and Bug Pokemon, with a few appearing for the very first time. Here are all the details you need:

When is the Pokemon Go Harvest Festival Event?
The Pokemon Go: Harvest Festival event will occur on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 10:00 am to Monday, October 17, 2023, at 8:00 pm in your local timezone.
This means people in New Zealand will have access to the event almost a day before those in the United States.
Pokemon Debuts
Smoliv, the Olive Pokémon, and its Evolutions will make an appearance in Pokemon Go for the first time.
Players can evolve Smoliv into Dolliv by giving it 25 candy and evolve Dolliv into Arboliva by giving it 100 candy. There are no other evolution requirements, and unfortunately, no Shiny variation is available.

Field Research Task Encounters
As with every Pokemon Go event, there will be Harvest Festival–themed Field Research tasks for players to complete. Here are all the Pokemon that you can encounter upon completion:

Collection Challenge
The Pokemon Go: Harvest Festival will have a collection challenge for players to earn rewards.
Expect to receive XP, Stardust, and Mossy Lure Modules.
Event Bonuses
The Event Bonuses will centre around Mossy Lure Modules and encounters with Pokemon. Here are the Bonuses details:
- Mossy Lure Modules activated during the event will last for two hours.
- Mossy Lure Modules have a higher chance of attracting Pumpkaboo.
- Trainers will receive additional Pumpkaboo Candy for catching Pumpkaboo.
PokeStop Showcases
PokeStop Showcases during the Harvest Festival will be focused on the new Pokemon: Smoliv, Pumpkaboo, or Gourgeist.
Pokemon Go: Ticket of Treats Paid Timed Research
The Pokemon Go Ticket of Treats Paid Timed Research starts on October 12, 2023, at 10:00 am local time, and Trainers can purchase the ticket for US$5.00 / AU$7.99 from the in-game shop.
Completing the research tasks will provide rewards, including a Mossy Lure Module and encounters with Pumpkaboo.
The Timed Research will last beyond the event and will expire on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 8:00 pm local time. This means all rewards must be claimed by this time as well.
