Heist aficionados should start gearing up to get their hands on PAYDAY 3 very soon as developer Starbreeze and publisher Deep Silver are thrilled to announce their upcoming closed beta in early August.
For the uninitiated, PAYDAY is a series basically all about pulling off big-city bank robberies. Up to four players work together to plan and orchestrate high-octane crime sprees.
Altogether, this includes holding hostages, securing the loot, making your escape, and epic firefights. With a decade between installments, it’s safe to say fans are ready for this new release on the horizon.
What To Expect In The PAYDAY 3 Closed Beta
PAYDAY 3‘s closed beta will see the return of Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, and Wolf as playable. Each character features a skillset of unique abilities forcing players to work together to meet their goals.
Furthermore, the playable heist, “No Rest for the Wicked” is the classic game mode players should expect from the series. This offers the chance to go in guns blazing or take a stealth approach to empty a bank vault. The beta also includes all difficulties, with an Infamy Level 22 and Weapon Level Progression eight as the level cap.
You can sign up through the Payday site, Steam store, or Xbox Insider Hub for a chance to join the beta. The beta will be running from 2-7 August, giving those lucky enough to get access a few days to steal together to their heart’s content.
Release Details
For those who do not get a chance to try out the beta, PAYDAY 3 is right around the corner with a September 21st release date.
The game will be available on PC via Steam, Game Pass, and the Epic Game Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Preorders are currently available with three digital and two physical editions starting at USD$39.99.
